The Falkirk Flydressers Club was formed in 1985. During the winter months (October to March) we meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 in the Ochiltree Social Club, Camelon, Falkirk.  We currently have around 35 members and new members are always welcome. The club was founded with the aim of expanding knowledge of fly tying and angling. We run two fly tying sections with classes for beginners and for more advanced fly tyers. The Beginners Section is designed for those with no or little experience in fly tying and introduces the basic skills and techniques in a logical progression. The Advanced Section gives those members with more experience oportunity to tie more complex flies, try new techniques, patterns and materials
Experienced club members act as demonstrators for both sections. From time to time we also invite guest demonstrators and speakers to the club, always popular evenings.
The club also has a fishing section. For practical reasons membership of this is limited, but vacancies do occur from time to time.
The club is run on a friendly informal basis, with plenty of opportunity for chat. Members are always ready to exchange ideas and give advice.
